Substations produce electromagnetic radiation, also known as electronic smog. According to the relevant power facilities protection regulations, for a 110 kV substation transmission overhead line, its protection area is 10 meters outside the line, in other words, as long as the distanta from the power line 10 meters away from the place, electromagnetic radiation safety is guaranteed.

For 220 kv and 500 kV transmission and transformation system lines, the protection area is 15 meters and 20 meters respectively. As for the safety distance of outdoor box substation, the safety distance of 6KV is 0.7m, 0.4kV is the low-voltage side, and it is ok not to touch. The so-called safety distance is the minimum distance between the human body and the charged body.
